While the gang rape victim continues to battle for life at the Safdarjung hospital, a group of protestors pelted stones and tried to break police barriers once again provoking the Delhi police, to lob tear gas shells at them. Various university groups from JNU, DU, BJP student wing alongwith Ramdev and Kejriwal supporters participated in the protest. Though most of the youngsters appealed for a peaceful protest, few groups of people tried to divert it by indulging in violent activities and intensifying the situation. Earlier in the day, the protestors had met Congress President Sonia Gandhi at her 10 Janpath residence where Rahul Gandhi, junior home minister RPN Singh and Congress leader Renuka Chaudhury were also present. Post meeting, Congress leader Renuka Chaudhary said that the meeting was fruitful.
