Actor and playwright Girish Karnad today created huge controversy after he trained his gun on another Nobel Laureate Rabindranath Tagore while tagging all the plays written by him till 1947 as second-grade. Karnad also claimed that Tagore did not understand the backward classes as he belonged to an aristocrat family. Karnad, who seems miffed with the entire literary world, had earlier attacked Nobel Laureate VS Naipaul.
