Former Prime Minister Inder Kumar Gujral will be given a state funeral today at 3 pm. Earlier the nation had accorded state honours to Gujral, who succumbed to lung infection at the age of 92 in the Medanta Medicity hospital in Gurgaon. Soldiers and officers saluted the casket that contained Gujral's body which was wrapped with the national flag before leaving for his official residence in New Delhi. Mourning his demise, Russian ambassador to India, Alexander M. Kadakin, said it was great loss not only for India and Russia but for the whole world.
