Regret not enough: RSS to Shinde
Posted on Thu , 21 Feb '13
Even as the BJP welcomed Union Home Minister Sushilkumar Shinde's statement regretting his controversial remark on 'saffron terror' the RSS appears in no mood to let go off the issue. RSS has demanded that Shinde must apologise. On the eve of beginning of Parliament's Budget Session, Shinde had regretted linking terror to saffron groups, including the BJP and the RSS. Shinde, who is also the Leader of the Lok Sabha, said his comment has created a 'misunderstanding' and that he had no intention to link terrorism with any religion. Since controversy has been created on account of my statement, I am issuing this clarification and expressing regret to those who felt hurt by my statement, he said in a brief statement.
