Congress President Sonia Gandhi will not be celebrating the New Year in wake of the Delhi gang rape victim death, which triggered nationwide protests. Speaking to mediapersons in New Delhi, senior Congress General Secretary Janardhan Dwivedi said that Congress chief had discussions with senior Congress leaders and legal experts to amend the laws to provide stringent punishments for crime against women.
