The Indian High Commissioner to Singapore TCA Raghavan today told reporters that the body of the gang rape victim, accompanied by her family, would be flown home on a private flight later in the day. Addressing a press conference, Raghavan said that the formalities, including getting a death certificate, for sending her body were being completed. Once they are done, the body will be flown back. The 23-year-old gang rape victim, severely beaten, raped and thrown out of a moving bus in New Delhi two weeks ago, had been flown to Singapore in critical condition by the Indian government on December 27 for specialist treatment.
