Trading at the Bombay Stock Exchange today closed 139.94 points down to stand at 19,468.14. At the National Stock Exchange the Nifty closed 44.30 points down to stand at 5,888.6Suzlon Energy Ltd. and Unitech Ltd. were among the top gainers with an increase of 2.69% and 2.61% along with Petronet LNG Ltd. and GAIL (India) Ltd. with an increase of 2.03% and 1.97% respectively, while the top losers include Opto Circuits (India) Ltd. and LIC Housing Finance Ltd. with a decrease of 10.68% and 6.18% along with Pantaloon Retail (India) Ltd. and IFCI Ltd. with a decrease 6.17% and 6.09% at the close of the markets. The Auto sector is down 155.71 points at 10,797.04, while the banking sector is down 99.20 points at 14,109.94 and the realty sector is down 30.64 points at 2,031.62. The Indian currency is up 0.15 % at Rs 53.90 per dollar.
