Parliamentary Affairs Minister, Kamal Nath today said that the Congress-led UPA government was open to an inquiry into Wal-Mart's lobbying practices, after reports highlighted that the company spent $25 million in the United States to help gain access to markets including India. Reacting to opposition's demand for probe, Kamal Nath, said the government would take all possible steps to unearth the facts related to the alleged allegation of Wal-Mart lobbying. However, the main opposition Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has sought for a judicial probe and demanded that its report should be submitted within 60 days.
