Amid high drama, of arrest, and then being granted bail the following day, for a Facebook post that questioned the total shutdown in the city of Mumbai for Shiv Sena Supremo Bal Thackeray's funeral, 21-year old Shaheen has finally come up and put forward her story. A seemingly harmless post on Facebook landed Shaheen and a friend, Renu who had commented and liked the post landed the duo in trouble. The police action has evoked widespread outrage. Union Telecom Minister, Kapil Sibal stressed the need for educating enforcement authorities on the sections of the Information Technology Act to prevent misuse of the Act.
