It was a story of two halves that could have been two very different matches. Both sides were equal in the frantic first half and Mumbai seemed to have just ended up on the wrong side of the scoreline at the end of it. ATK then stood firm in the second half, frustrating Mumbai and not letting them through while keeping them on their toes with counters.

In the end, the pressure seems to have got to them and Diego Forlan was the man who fell to it. Forlan lashed out a foot on Jewel Raja’s leg, a challenge that warrants a yellow card. The Uruguayan was already booked and the second yellow ended his participation in this semi final fixture. Mumbai City have an uphill task going into the second leg.
