600 take part in symposium on basic research at PGI

The Association of Basic Medical Scientists,PGIMER,Chandigarh,organised a day-long symposium on Advance techniques in basic research — Tools of 21st century,at the institute on Saturday.

Over 600 students from different institutes across the country attended the symposium. The inaugural ceremony was attended by ICMR former Director General Prof N K Ganguly,PGIMER Director Prof K K Talwar and NIPER Director Prof K K Bhutani.

Eminent scientists from various renowned institutions like Dr Parag Sadhale from IISc,Bangalore,Dr J Agrewala,Dr A Bachawat,Dr P Guptasarma from IMTECH,Prof D Kaul,Dr S K Arora and Prof Madhu Khullar from PGIMER chaired various sessions and gave their valuable suggestions.

In the valedictory ceremony,PGIMER Dean Prof V K Sakhuja and Prof Kusum Joshi felicitated budding scientists.
