Nations should use its strengths to meet emerging challenges, Manish Tewari,Ludhiana MP and AICC spokesman said on Sunday during a lecture at Ludhiana Management Association.
We should use our strengths to overcome the emerging challenges. Democracy,large intellectual base,substantial economic growth in the past,unity in diversity,strong agriculture base,strong international presence,fast paced industrial and infrastructural growth,etc are some of the major strengths of India which can be used to meet emerging challenges in the present times, Tewari said,while delivering a lecture at Ludhiana Management Association here.
Imagining India 2020 was the topic of the lecture. V.K.Goyal,President,LMA,J.R Singal,Sr. Vice President,LMA,Sachit Jain,Vice President,LMA and Dr. K.N.S Kang,General Secretary LMA along with other dignitaries were also present on the occasion.
Delivering his address,Tewari reviewed nations such as Japan and Germany which were bombarded but still possessed the inner instinct to emerge as super powers and rule the globe. During his lecture,he stressed more on the nations civilization and how it evolves with time in totality with the past and present.
Tewari also said strong infrastructures,education,investment in agriculture are some of the measures to meet the challenges. The biggest challenge he focused on was the movement of the masses from rural areas to the urban cities which leads to the creation of urban slums which downsize the rate of economic growth.
Imagining India is a much diversified task,but taking past into consideration a bridge was built for its future vision.
The key foundations of this bridge were laid on factors such as Indias substantial growth as a nation in 62 years,and huge amount of untapped intellectual capabilities. Mr. Tewari further stated that the most important foundation lies in the democracy of the nation,which at times leads to peaceful transition of power.
While extending Presidential remarks V.K. Goyal,President,LMA said that if the youth like Tewari will be infused in the Indian politics in the years to come,no one can stop India from becoming the worlds super power. He informed that LMA has formed two committees i.e. city development committee and social issues committee to help the Ludhiana city get better.
Sachit Jain,Vice President,LMA thanked all the dignitaries and members present on the occasion.
