Minister: Sarkozy’s Libya visit not about money

A Libyan official says that British Prime Minister David Cameron and French President Nicolas Sarkozy are going to Tripoli on Thursday,in the first such visit by foreign leaders since Gadhafi’s downfall.

Asked whether there were economic arguments for the visit,Baroin says,”we are not at that stage.”

He says France’s focus is not yet on reconstruction contracts but on supporting the interim leadership and pursuing “the last pro-Gadhafi pockets.”
